Dedication of Memorial to Unknown Graves

We can’t really say how old the stones are because we don’t know who they belonged to. They were recovered and because they are so old the inscriptions are not legible. We think this is a story of redemption to locate them in a place set apart. As you can see the recovered gates add significantly to the appearance of the “Unknown Graves Memorial”. It is fitting that we honor these dead in this manner. To give the gift of this memorial which is set apart from the rest of the cemetery by the coping and covered in the granite rocks and dust, a monument with a message “In memory of Loved Ones, who passed long ago, They are gone but not forgotten, Known only to God”, and guarded by the gates with a history of this cemetery.
